REPLACEMENT - SMALL STRUCTURE #213
The Dearborn County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the replacement of Small Structure 213 on Lower Dillsboro Road over Unnamed Tributary of South Hogan Creek. Bids will be received at the Dearborn County Engineer’s Office, 165 Mary Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025 until 10:00 A.M. local time on October 30, 2024. Bids received after the specified date and time shall be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:10 A.M. local time on October 30, 2024 at the Dearborn County Administration Building, 3rd Floor Glass Conference Room, 215-B West High Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025. Award is anticipated at the following Dearborn County Board of Commissioner’s Meeting which will be held on November 6, 2024.
Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal form furnished to bidders. A certified check, bank draft, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Contractor awarded the work will be required to furnish an acceptable Surety Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. As part of the bid, bidders must demonstrate past experience in bridge construction and provide references for five (5) previously completed projects similar in nature. Bidders must be INDOT pre-qualified for the following work types: D(a) Highway or Bridge over Water or E(e)Small Structures, Culverts, and Drainage Items.
The Dearborn County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bids.

BRIDGE REHABILITATION - BRIDGE NO. 58, WILSON CREEK ROAD
The Dearborn County Commissioners will receive bids for the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 58 carrying Wilson Creek Road over Wilson Creek in Dearborn County, IN. Bids will be received until 10:00 AM, prevailing time, on WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 30, 2024, at the Dearborn County Engineer‘s Office, 165 Mary Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened and read at WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 30, 2024 at 10:10 AM, prevailing time, at the Dearborn County Government Center, 3rd Floor Glass Conference Room, 165 Mary Street, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025. Award is anticipated TUESDAY NOVEMBER 6, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Dearborn County Commissioners meeting.
THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE REHABILITATION OF A 5 SPAN REINFORCED CONCRETE SLAB BRIDGE. PARTIAL CONCRETE SLAB REMOVAL SHALL OCCUR ON THE WEST EDGE OF THE BRIDGE FOR FULL LENGTH OF BRIDGE OR ABOUT 174 LFT. IN ADDITION, CONCRETE SLAB PATCHING SHALL OCCUR ON THE EAST EDGE FOR A FEW SPANS ON THE SOUTH END. NEW GURDRAIL SHALL BE ADDED ON THE WEST SIDE ONLY. IN ADDITION, SEDIMENT REMOVAL AND NEW RIPRAP SHALL BE COMPLETED UNDER AND AROUND THE BRIDGE. THE PROJECT IS NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF US 50 AND GREEN BLVD/WILSON CREEK ROAD APPROXIMATELY 1.15 MILES.
After review and award of a contract, the Owner will provide a "Notice to Proceed" to the Contractor. Contractor will then have 10 working days after said "Notice to Proceed" to commence construction and until AUGUST 28, 2025 to achieve substantial completion and an additional 15 days, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 to achieve final completion. As an Alternated Bid Item, full closure shall be considered. If closure of the roadway is accepted as an alternate, the roadway closure time cannot extend past 90 days from first closure and full closure could not start until after November 30, 2024. Contractor will be assessed $300.00 a day liquidated damages for any work remaining over and above either of the specified contract completion dates or the 90 day alternate road closure item. Payment to be made on a standard monthly claim basis, with 10% retainage, and said retainage may be held up to three months after the successful completion of this contract. There is no retainage reduction for this project.

Access to an ftp site with the Contract Documents in PDF format is available from the Engineer (FPBH, Inc., 72 HENRY STREET, P. O. Box 47, North Vernon, Indiana, 47265,) for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. Printed copies of the Contract Documents are available for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set. Additional sets may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $25.00 per set. Partial sets will not be available. Requests for bid documents shall be made in writing to bidding@fpbhonline.com . Only those plan holders registered through the Engineer will be notified of addenda.
Bidders must be pre-qualified with INDOT for work type D(a) Highway or Bridge over Water. There is no pre-bid conference scheduled for this project.
Bids must be submitted on the forms in the Contract Documents and other conditions therein described must be met. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked DEARBORN COUNTY – BRIDGE #58, WILSON CREEK RD. REHAB on the face of the envelope and display the name and address of the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in a sum equal to 10% of the amount of the bid unless otherwise specified, and a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bid prices must be firm for a period of ninety (90) days from the bid opening date. Should a successful bidder withdraw his bid, or fail to execute a satisfactory contract within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance of his bid, the owner may declare the Bid Security forfeited as liquidated damages, not as penalty. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum with an approved surety company. Said bond shall remain in full force and effect for a period of one (1) year after date of final acceptance of the work.

The Dearborn County Commissioners will receive bids for the replacement of Dearborn County Bridge No. 215 on Brush Fork Road over Brushy Fork and the associated roadway realignment and construction, all in accordance with the Contract Documents and Specifications.

THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE REALIGNMENT OF A PORTION OF BRUSH FORK ROAD AND THE REPLACEMENT OF DEARBORN COUNTY BRIDGE NO. 215. THE WORK INCLUDES THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING THREE SPAN REINFORCED CONCRETE SLAB BRIDGE ON ABUTMENTS WITH SPANS OF 7.5 FEET, 10.5 FEET AND 10.5 FEET. THE WIDTH OF THE EXISTING BRIDGE IS 17.5 FEET. THE NEW BRIDGE WILL BE A 42 FOOT SINGLE SPAN REINFORCED CONCRETE SLAB BRIDGE ON ABUTMENTS WITH A 24 FOOT CLEAR ROADWAY WIDTH. THERE WILL BE TS-1 RAILINGS ON THE BRIDGE, APPROACH GUARDRAIL OFF THE BRIDGE AND CONCRETE APPROACH SLABS. THERE WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 440 FEET OF ROADWORK ON BRUSH FORK ROAD. THE WORK WILL CONSIST OF GRADING, ASPHALT PAVEMENT, SIDE DITCHES, DRIVEWAY REALIGNMENT AND RELOCATING THE ROAD AT THE STREAM. THE PROJECT IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1.23 MILES NORTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF SAWDON RIDGE ROAD AND BRUSH FORK ROAD, MILLER TOWNSHIP, DEARBORN COUNTY, INDIANA.
