Welcome to the Department of Planning & Zoning! Situated in the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, Dearborn County consists of 14 political townships and 7 cities and towns: Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Aurora, Dillsboro, Moores Hill, St. Leon and West Harrison. Our home service area consists of 50,000 people and offers area attractions such as Hollywood Casino, Perfect North Slopes, Lawrenceburg Speedway, Hillforest Museum, the Dearborn Trails along the Ohio River, and 4 golf courses. Major arterial roads include Interstate 74, Interstate 275, U.S. 50, U.S. 52, and eight State Roads. The area is also served by the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)--which is located less than 10 miles to the southeast of the County.

There are no cases on the agenda, all items are request for Subdivision Control Ordinance text changes and Administrative items.

  • Request:  Vote on the following proposed text changes of the Subdivision Control Ordinance
    • Text Amendments to Article 2, Section 232 Item #25, Section 272 Item #10
    • Text Amendments to Article 3, Section 330
    • Text Amendments to Article 6, Section 330
    • Repeal/remove portions of Article 3 of the Subdivision Control Ordinance, Section 325, 325.2, 325.3, 325.4, 325.5 and 325.6
    • All changes are related to the newly approved MS4 ordinances and requirements.
  • Discussions of the Update to the Comprehensive Plan through 2025, workshops, for public involvement, public surveys, completed studies or plans to be included.
  • First Comprehensive Plan Update Workshop will be on Thursday, April 24th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Dearborn County Government Center.

DEARBORN COUNTY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MEETING

TUESDAY, April 8, 2025

OLD Business CASE #1:     Address Change Appeal by property owner, Marianne Triplett, with an existing address of 20052 Firewood Way.

OLD Business CASE #2:    Address Change Appeal by property owners, Michael & Angela Minges, with an existing address of 12331 Walters Road.

New Business CASE #1:     Variance of Use Additional Senior Housing from previous Rezone and BZA approvals, the applicant being SICPDC, the property is located in Logan Township at the corner of Unity Lane and North Dearborn Road, Parcel #15-01-28-200-149.000-018 .

New Business Case #2:       Development Standard Variance to increase the square footage of directional signage, with the owner being Sunman Dearborn School Corporation (East Central), the property being along school frontage of Trojan Road and Schuman Road, in Kelso Township and also included in this public hearing is property located in the Town of St Leon.
